AnyLogic Simulation Software
About AnyLogic Simulation Software
AnyLogic Simulation Software is the leading simulation software for industrial and business applications, utilized worldwide by over 40% of Fortune 100 companies today. AnyLogic simulation models enable analysts, engineers and managers to gain deeper insights and optimize complex systems and processes across a wide range of industry sectors, including logistics, manufacturing, transportation, aerospace, defense and mining.
AnyLogic Simulation Software was designed and developed by The AnyLogic Company, a multinational software company operating from the U.S. and Europe with a global network of partners, including Engineering Group and Engineering Industries eXcellence. The software applications offered by The AnyLogic Company and delivered by our team include AnyLogic, their flagship general-purpose simulation modeling software and AnyLogic Cloud, a private business cloud environment for cloud environment for simulation model execution and integration.
AnyLogic Multimethod Simulation Modeling
AnyLogic Simulation Software supports and enables you to develop models using all three modern simulation methodologies. The three methods can be used in any combination, with one software, to simulate business and industrial systems of any complexity. AnyLogic was the first tool to introduce multi-method simulation modeling, and it remains the only software that has that capability on the market today.
- Agent-Based Simulation Modeling: Agent-based simulation modeling focuses on the individual active components of a system. With agent-based modeling, active entities, known as agents, must be identified and their behavior defined. They may be people, households, vehicles, equipment, products, or companies, whatever is relevant to the system. Connections between them are established, environmental variables set, and simulations run.
- Discrete Event Simulation Modeling: Most business processes can be described as a sequence of separate discrete events. Discrete event simulation modeling focuses on these processes in a system at a medium level of abstraction. Typically, specific physical details, such as car geometry or train acceleration, are not represented. Discrete event simulation modeling is widely used in the manufacturing, logistics and healthcare fields.
- System Dynamics Simulation Modeling: System dynamics simulation modeling is a highly abstract method of modeling. It ignores the fine details of a system, such as the individual properties of people, products, or events, and produces a general representation of a complex system. These abstract simulation models may be used for long-term, strategic modeling and simulation. System dynamics can help you understand complex relationships across all areas of business.
AnyLogic Private Cloud
AnyLogic Private Cloud is a secure web platform for running simulation models. It enables you to apply simulation at your organization's operational level, use rich cloud-based experimentation capabilities, collaborate when developing and executing models, and deliver simulation results instantly online.
AnyLogic Private Cloud is an in-house installation, giving you complete control over your data storage. AnyLogic Private Cloud infrastructure is hosted at your data center or at a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider. This way, it can be integrated into your company workflows, so that you can deploy AnyLogic models throughout your company. The dedicated environment of the Private Cloud gives you complete control over your data and its processing.
AnyLogic Private Cloud editions include the following options:
- AnyLogic Private Cloud Enterprise: It can be installed on multiple servers for higher performance and allows for unlimited number of parallel simulation runs.
- AnyLogic Private Cloud Lite: It is a lightweight version of Private Cloud Enterprise installed as a regular user program on a local network computer. Private Cloud Lite is restricted with 16 processor cores running concurrently. It provides an easy and low-cost way for organizations to work on simulation models in teams.
- AnyLogic Private Cloud Pro: It is a fully functional versions of Private Cloud Enterprise installed as a regular user program on a local network computer. Private Cloud Pro is restricted with 64 processor cores running concurrently. It provides an easy and low-cost way for organizations to work on simulation models in teams.
AnyLogic Process Modeling Libraries
AnyLogic also provides a unique suite of industry-specific tools in one package, at no additional cost. Each process modeling library is a powerful tool for analysts to model at a detailed-level operation in logistics, healthcare, banking, manufacturing and other business processes and services of a dynamic nature.
When using the process modeling library, users can model real-world systems in terms of processes (sequences of operations typically involving queues, delays and resource utilization), entities going through the process flow (transactions, customers and products), and resources that entities use to perform an action and influence the process. With the library, you can visualize any business process quickly and easily, and validate the results using AnyLogic animation capabilities.
Industry-specific process modeling libraries included with AnyLogic are:
- Process Modeling Library for generic business processes or workflows;
- Fluid Library to simulate bulk cargo and liquid transfer in industries like mining or oil & gas;
- Rail Library for rail transportation, terminals and yards;
- Pedestrian Library for pedestrian flows in airports, stadiums, stations or shopping malls;
- Road Traffic Library for car, truck and bus movement on roads, parking lots and factory sites;
- Material Handling Library for manufacturing and warehouse processes.
The Pedestrian, Rail and Road Traffic Libraries provide detailed physical-level simulation of objects’ movement and interaction, which is not supported by any other general-purpose simulation software tool on the market.
