The Customer’s Need
To operate in flourishing global markets, Acino needed a digital Track & Trace solution to ensure compliance with serialization, traceability and reporting requirements across their packaging sites in the European Union and countries of the CIS and Middle East. This initiative also required the integration of external systems to enable the exchange of required serialization data with customers and partners and to ensure the regulatory compliance of Acino’s contract manufacturers (CMOs). The Engineering Group’s Industries eXcellence team, formerly Movilitas, leveraged advanced technology for Track & Trace to help the pharmaceutical leader integrate their systems and processes, optimize data from warehouses and packaging sites and meet compliance regulations for manufacturing serialization and traceability.
About the Project
- Implemented the full set of SAP Track & Trace solution services and accelerators to ensure compliance with serialization regulations across the global pharmaceutical marketplace
- Utilized SAP Process Integration & Orchestration software products to connect SAP Advanced Track & Trace for Pharmaceuticals (SAP ATTP) system with packaging sites, CMOs and customer systems, enabling the exchange of relevant serialization data
- Introduced a mobile solution based on Movilitas.Cloud to integrate warehouse systems and serialization processes while accelerating scanning and capture events
