Engineering Industries eXcellence was proud to host an executive leadership team from the Engineering Group, a global leader in digital transformation, at the company's North American headquarters in Chicago. The visiting team included Maximo Ibarra, Chief Executive Officer; Massimo Cunico, Chief Financial Officer; Fabio Momola, Chief Operating Officer; and Alfredo Belsito, General Manager at the Engineering Group. The downtown Chicago office was the final stop on the executive tour of the Engineering Group's main global hubs. The leadership team's objectives on this tour were to share the new and evolving vision of the Engineering Group, to meet the specialists in each region and to celebrate the success of the organization worldwide.

“We have really been looking forward to this visit,” said Ettore Soldi, President of Engineering Industries eXcellence and Head of Engineering Industries eXcellence. “Our team is excited to showcase some of the ground-breaking projects they have been working on for our industrial customers in North America. As we continue expanding our portfolio of digital solutions and growing our presence in the Industry 4.0 market, our North American division will play an increasingly critical role in the execution of the Engineering Group's vision for digital transformation.”

Day one started with a tour of Engineering Industries eXcellence’s Chicago headquarters, followed by executive breakout sessions focused on operations, marketing, finance and sales. Next, the head of each technology practice presented their most innovative projects to the leadership team, showing the holistic approach taken by the U.S. branch to help customers across industrial sectors achieve digital transformation. Through these presentations, the executive guests gained a better understanding of the valuable industry knowledge and broad technical expertise utilized every day by Engineering Industries eXcellence specialists. In the evening, the executives attended a welcome reception at ROOF on theWit where they got to talk more with the North American team and learn about the winning culture of Engineering Industries eXcellence.

The next morning, breakout sessions continued at Engineering Industries eXcellence’s downtown office. Meetings with local employees and managers helped the executive team further understand the unique culture and passion driving the success of the North American branch. In the afternoon, focus shifted to the importance of partnerships for Engineering Industries eXcellence. A visit to MxD, a partner and state-of-the-art innovation center established by the U.S. Department of Defense, highlighted Engineering Industries eXcellence's commitment to research and development for the advancement of American manufacturing.

The executive team met with leadership from MxD and Siemens, another long-standing and strategic technology partner of Engineering Industries eXcellence, to discuss the current state of the partnerships and the future roadmap to expand market share together. Next, the executive guests were guided through MxD’s Factory of the Future, a 22,000-square-foot research factory used to test and demonstrate new technology. The tour was led by Dr. Federico Sciammarella, Chief Technology Officer of MxD, along with Siemens leadership and Industry 4.0 specialists from Engineering Industries eXcellence.

In his final speech to the U.S. team, Maximo Ibarra spoke on the strengths of the North American division and the future of the global organization.

“If you want to be relevant in a market like the U.S., you need to find your specialization. You need to be unique,” said Maximo Ibarra. “I think this is exactly what Engineering Industries eXcellence is doing, and it has been enhanced through the acquisition of companies with the idea of creating a center of expertise for manufacturing excellence. I imagine that in 2025 the efforts of this and all our other global divisions will be rewarded, and we will be in a position where the company is one of the most successful technology solution providers in the world.”

After the executive team’s successful visit to Engineering Industries eXcellence’s North American headquarters, the organization looks forward to fulfilling its ambitious vision for Engineering Industries eXcellence through organic growth, acquisitions and continued investment in the development of industry expertise. With Maximo Ibarra and his talented leadership team at the helm, there is no doubt that the Engineering Group will be a force to be reckoned with in the era of digital transformation.
