The agrochemical industry faces growing challenges to ensure the integrity of products. A recent working paper from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) estimated that global revenues associated with fake agrochemicals are at 6-10 billion USD worldwide. The increased quantities of counterfeit products negatively impact farmers' livelihoods and the environment. Syngenta Crop Protection’s digitalization program will enable a global, standardized approach for product identification, data aggregation and authentication. The program leverages a solution that combines the cloud-based SAP® Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals (ATTP) software and Engineering Industries eXcellence’s proprietary Movilitas.Cloud application for serialized logistics, serialized manufacturing, mobile scanning and printing. Syngenta’s new, digitalized process ensures the capture of product and production data to enable seamless information exchange across the supply chain.
