Engineering becomes an Official Partner of Siemens MindSphere for Industry 4.0

October 4, 2017, Chicago – We are proud and excited to announce that Engineering has officially been named a Solution Partner of Siemens for the MindSphere Platform for Industry 4.0, which includes the launch of our MIndSphere application for analytics.

Launched by Siemens in response to Internet of Things and the challenges and demands it creates for manufacturers, MindSphere is a comprehensive data hosting platform that allows companies to connect devices and assets from the production floor, securely collect and store operational data from these industrial assets to the MindSphere cloud, then transform data into knowledge with data analytics capabilities, tools for developers, applications and services. Engineering’s Software Development team first began working with MindSphere platform at the beginning of 2017 to build our MindApp, an application which allows customers to visualize exposed Industry 4.0 IoT data directly from MindSphere and can be fully integrated with Siemens MES, PLM as well as third-party systems.

Siemens is driving forward the expansion of its cloud-based open IoT operating system with new partnerships, new apps and extended connectivity. In addition to the digital capabilities MindSphere, currently in Version 2, has created for manufacturers in the Cloud Computing space, new and cutting-edge features are already in the works. The launch of Version 3, which will run in Amazon Web Services, will be announced at the Amazon Re: Invent show at the end of November.

Siemens Solution Partners are system experts, offering tailored services including engineering and commissioning work for projects of all sizes and complexity levels. The close relationship to Siemens and the wealth of resources Siemens provides, keeps Siemens partners a step ahead of competition. As the only company in the world partnered with three Siemens Software divisions – PLM, Motion Control and Automation – Engineering has established itself as a strategic solution partner and leading system integrator focused on Digital Manufacturing. Engineering’s niche is the Digital Thread – a proven set of proven integrated technology solutions that bridge the gap between the virtual and physical worlds of manufacturing. With MindSphere’s capabilities for Cloud Computing, Big Data, Analytics and Internet of Things, this partnership will even further increase the value that Engineering is able to deliver by allowing us to offer our customers a broader range of digital tools and solutions for Industry 4.0.

Ettore Soldi, Managing Director at Engineering North America, is excited about the future of this partnership: “The work Engineering delivers, the solutions we provide, and our company’s partnership with Siemens is driven by the common goal of Industry 4.0 and helping our customers achieve a fully optimized Digital Enterprise. We believe that companies and customers that adopt this approach will be the future leaders of the industry – more efficient, more flexible, more innovative and more financially successful. MindSphere is the latest Cloud for Industry, and we are excited to be able to deliver it to the manufacturing space before anyone else. We are looking forward to the many new opportunities this partnership will create for both our customers and our business offering.”
