About the Customer

Engineering is about to embark on an exciting new project for a leading Aerospace & Defense manufacturer. The customer supports the efforts of the U.S. Government’s military in three sectors that include Aerospace, Mission, and Technology systems. They specialize in manufacturing aerospace parts for military operations. The customer has locations all over the United States, but the focus of our project will be in Los Angeles, California.

About the Project

The Aerospace & Defense company previously approached Engineering for our expertise in Simulation. The project was a success, helping the customer achieve their goals and prompting them to recommend us for a second project at a different site. This time Engineering was already prepared with the knowledge and experience it had gained before. Both teams were comfortable working with each other and there was no need for retraining, which further convinced the customer that Engineering was the right company for its new project. In this project, the customer is specifically interested in simulating their production system and optimizing its performance. Once their system is modeled, the company would like to run what-if scenarios to see the impact of the changes before implementation.

About the Solution

With Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, the production system can be accurately modeled and validated. Plant Simulation offers extensive analysis tools that can be used to create what-if scenarios and show not only the impact on the production system but also on the workforce, materials, cost, throughput, etc. Engineering will bring its vast knowledge of Plant Simulation to the customer’s aerospace team in a mentoring role. We will guide them through both the basics and the advanced techniques within the software. We will also lead them through the phases of a typical Plant Simulation project so that they can walk away from the training with the tools to create not only an accurate simulation but a successful project. Engineering looks forward to delivering a successful training program and project to the customer and hopes to build an even stronger relationship moving forward.
