Engineering has developed two solutions called Order Manager and Load Order Manager that are used by one of the largest Oil & Gas suppliers globally.

Order manager is a desktop client application that handles blending orders created locally or through SAP systems, processing batches and releasing them for creation. Engineering has integrated Order Manager into SAP systems, SIMATIC Batch and SIMATIC Wincc. Order Manager brings the following functionality and benefits:

  • Easy management of orders
  • Customizable validations before allowing the release of orders
  • Batch raw material inventory enforcement
  • Confirming routes are available to the blender and destination storage tank
  • Check recipes are compliant to specific conditions
  • On-the-fly recipe adjustments by reserving parts of a batch for flushing out pipes
  • Generate reports based on order numbers

Load Order Manager is a Microsoft Silverlight web client application that handles load orders for trucks, retrieving products created from blending and pumping them into truck trailer containers. Load Order Manager has the following functionality and benefits:

  • Order filters to organize orders based on date, status, order number, etc.
  • Modify orders start time and date
  • Add trucks to a list for future use with capacity and customer specific information
  • Assign lists of trucks to orders that can be looked up by truck number
  • Assign orders to different sites of a plant area
  • Assign truck trailers compartments product
  • Auto calculated dispersion of product based on compartment capacity and limits
  • Enter seal numbers for each compartment after product transfer completed
  • Customizable validations like available compartment capacity and limits
  • Auto printable PDF report’s during any process with dynamic number of copies
  • Local order creation when ERP systems are offline
  • OPC client that writes to tags for PLC machines on the floor for automation
  • Keeps records stored for orders in a database that is used for reporting and history
  • Improves productivity by making parts of the manual process automatic
  • Integration with SIMATIC Wincc, SAP and OPC servers

Since Load Order Manager is a web application, it can be placed on a web server and be accessible to an entire business network. This makes it easier and less time consuming to install on multiple machines in heavily employed businesses. Load Order Manager can be installed once; every machine just needs to access the web server machine on which it is installed in order to install the Silverlight plugin. Usually, you have to go to Microsoft’s website, but Load Order Manager was developed to detect if Silverlight is installed; in this way, you can download it directly from the web server.
