May 14-15, 2019, Livonia, Michigan, USA –

With the resurgence of the discussion around Manufacturing Simulation along with the Industry 4.0 phenomenon, this technology space and user community has experienced significant growth in the last decade. Organized by Siemens PLM Software, the Plant Simulation Worldwide User Conference has been held in Germany for 6 years now. And thanks to the expanding adoption and interest in digital simulation solutions in the American industrial setting in recent years, Siemens decided to launch a conference dedicated solely to users in the Americas in 2018.

This year, the second annual Americas Plant Simulation Users Conference was held in Livonia, Michigan. Engineering Industries eXcellence’s world-class simulation team was invited to attend and present. The event hosted a diverse and passionate group of manufacturers, end users, technology experts and system integrators across the Tecnomatix Plant Simulation community. Everyone came together in a spirit of collaboration and learning to discuss the latest advancements and applications of Plant Simulation, as well as to give user feedback, share ideas and define a future roadmap for the leading digital offering. The mix of technical and business roles, as well as expertise level, from the participants made for some valuable and insightful conversations.

At Engineering Industries eXcellence, we believe that simulation is a critical piece of every successful Industry 4.0 strategy and initiative. Carlos Ortega, one of our senior Digital Manufacturing experts with over 10 years of experience delivering simulation solutions and projects to manufacturing customers across many different sectors worldwide, presented "Investing in Simulation 101." His session aimed to help attendees learn the best practices, strategies and tools that they can leverage to get their simulation initiatives funded, supported and off the ground in their own organizations. Carlos received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Siemens organization for presenting and continuing to contribute to the adoption and advancement of Manufacturing Simulation technology in North America. Congratulations to Carlos and to the rest of our amazing simulation team, we are so proud!
