A New Partnership with Claroty for Industrial Cybersecurity

August 4, 2021, Chicago, IL, USA -

Engineering Industries eXcellence is proud to announce a new strategic partnership for our Engineering Industries eXcellence division with Claroty, an industrial cybersecurity company that is trusted by the world’s largest enterprises to reveal, protect and manage their Operational Technology (OT), Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial IoT (IIoT) assets. In the current industrial landscape, the digital transformation of the factory floor is not only a reality for most organizations, but one that leading companies are increasingly actively pursuing due to the tangible benefits this offers in terms of efficiency, throughput and visibility. That same visibility, however, also introduces security risks that need to be mitigated in order to help industrial enterprises take on digital transformation while protecting their most critical infrastructure and information at the same time. To this aim, Engineering Industries eXcellence, a leader in all things Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing, and Claroty, a leader in industrial cybersecurity, have joined forces.

The Claroty platform provides a comprehensive set of industrial cybersecurity controls that revolve around a framework designed to reveal, protect, detect and connect. It helps companies first identify what needs to be secured by revealing and contextualizing 100% of their networks’ least visible and most poorly understood contents. The platform then enables companies to tackle inherent risk factors: critical vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, poor security hygiene among personnel, and unreliable, unmonitored or inefficient remote access mechanisms. The platform's resilient threat detection model continually monitors both known and unknown emerging threats, automatically weeds out false positives, and gives clear direction on how to take action. Finally, Claroty enables connectivity by removing the barriers that limit industrial networks from securely connecting to what enables the rest of the business to operate and innovate with an acceptable level of risk. It is this commitment to the power of connectivity that forms Engineering Industries eXcellence and Claroty’s unique synergy to deliver Industry 4.0.

“Cybersecurity should not be an afterthought to digitalization. The addition of Claroty’s uniquely flexible, holistic and reliable industrial cybersecurity platform to our offering will enable our organization to deliver the Digital Thread for Industry 4.0 with the necessary cybersecurity expertise and tools as part of its enabling foundation. We know that many companies today, and particularly in the Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas and Transportation sectors, suffer from this security gap due to the nature of the infrastructure on which their businesses and operations rely – simply put, assets that were never built with connectivity in mind. Together with Claroty, we will help new and existing customers bridge the cybersecurity gap between IT and OT, and embrace digital transformation with peace of mind. Alone to go fast, together to go far,” said Maurizio Milazzo, Director of Operational Technology Security for Engineering Industries eXcellence, a division of the Engineering Group.
“In order for industrial enterprises to fully realize the benefits of embracing Industry 4.0, they must be prepared to mitigate the new cyber risks that go hand-in-hand with digitalizing their operational facilities,” said John Parmley, General Manager, Americas at Claroty. “The Claroty Platform's top-notch visibility, threat detection, risk and vulnerability management, and secure remote access capabilities, combined with Engineering Industries eXcellence’s vast and specialized industry and implementation experience, will empower our customers with the tools and expertise they need to keep their newly modernized systems secure.”
