About: The introduction of a digital battery passport by the European Commission aims to support sustainable and circular battery management by requiring comprehensive documentation and data exchange throughout the battery value chain through a digital platform. The digital battery passport is specified in Article 77 of the EU Battery Regulation and will be mandatory for light-duty vehicle (LMT) batteries, industrial batteries with a capacity greater than 2 kWh, and electric vehicle batteries placed or put into service on the EU market until February 18, 2027.
This regulation has the potential to significantly affect the battery industry, which is why it is an important topic to discuss at the event. In this presentation we will provide an overview of the EU Battery Regulation, the scope and timing of the Battery Passport, and discuss the requirements and challenges associated with its implementation. In addition, we will present a solution-oriented approach and share best practices for ensuring compliance.
