Presentation: Scaling Bayer’s Global OEE Solution with Opcenter Intelligence & Insights Hub
When: Monday, May 13th @ 1:30 PM in Lagoon I
Who: Brandon Johnson, Head of MES/MOM, North America
About:
In the realm of industrial operations, inefficiencies and performance gaps are bound to persist among global organizations without digital solutions in place. This is where Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) serves as a game changer and important solution for manufacturing and production companies. Given its ability to measure equipment and process efficiencies, it provides quality control for a more productive workforce. In this scenario, OEE helped Bayer Crop Science gain visibility on the production and efficiency of manufacturing lines, creating a great basis for comparing metrics between their existing facilities.
In this presentation, viewers will learn how Engineering Industries eXcellence partnered with Bayer Crop Science to provide solutions that could improve processes and gain actionable insights with asset and operational data. Our system integration experts delivered Siemens Opcenter Intelligence and Insights Hub to help teams leverage real-time monitoring support of manufacturing operations, calculate effectiveness and perform downtime analysis. With over 40 sites using these solutions, Bayer Crop Science has learned how to accurately record machine data, measure and manage equipment downtime and engage in proactive maintenance as necessary. Throughout this project's execution, seed site facilities worldwide have gained the ability to streamline operations and refine production.
With this story uncovered, participants will obtain key insights on how OEE provides endless benefits like how to record machine data to analyze patterns, ways to measure equipment efficiency for increased productivity and how to reduce machine failures.
Presentation: Best Practices in Teamcenter Setup for Efficient Data at Henny Penny
When: Tuesday, May 14th @ 11:45 AM in Lagoon G
Who: Andrea Salerno, PLM Practice Service Director and Doug Claywell, PLM Manager
About:
In a world where data is abundant, reviewing shop floor systems and managing product data is a challenging but critical task for seamless collaboration across teams. By implementing robust, comprehensive solutions that cover an entire product lifecycle from design and manufacturing to service delivery, organizations can quickly recognize the importance of synchronized operations.
This presentation will dive into how Engineering Industries eXcellence partnered with Henny Penny to define an Industry 4.0 roadmap. With a corporate-wide data management initiative at the top of mind, the ultimate goals included improving management of extensive product configuration data and communications, increasing reusability of data across systems, refining product quality for metrics and reliability and achieving a completely paperless shop floor.
We will cover the foundational setup of Siemens Teamcenter, exploring valuable insights gained from the redeployment process. It will address crucial aspects of business requirements and streamlined, structured processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness of Teamcenter implementations. Experts will also uncover key knowledge on searching for product design data, examining landscapes for Bill of Materials (BOM), Easy Plan and Active Workspace Client (AWC). By highlighting the impact that data accessibility has on an industrial organization, users can better understand Teamcenter benefits and how to enhance their overall experience by successfully navigating product design information.
